A Note from Vinnie

Founder & Camp Creator

I've always been fascinated by the sky. There's something magical about watching clouds drift by, wondering what weather they're bringing, and understanding how our atmosphere connects us all. That's why I created On Cloud Nine Camp — a STEM-powered adventure for curious young minds in West Toronto.

What makes this camp special is that it's not just about learning science — it's about becoming a real scientist. Using the GLOBE Observer citizen science platform, our campers observe and record sky conditions, then submit their data to NASA. Their reports are compared to real satellite images, helping researchers study how clouds influence Earth's climate and energy balance.

We take field trips right here in Toronto — to High Park for real-world sky watching, plus a visit to the zoo and playground. Between cloud identification, rocket science experiments, water cycle projects, volcano simulations, and kite flying, there's never a dull moment. We've also got cloud and weather-related VR experiences that bring science to life.

As a parent, I know how important it is to find camp experiences that actually engage kids — not just keep them busy. This camp is designed for kids ages 9-13 from The Junction, Roncesvalles, Bloor West Village, High Park, Junction Triangle, Kingsway, and across West Toronto. Every camper receives their own STEM supplies and gets to dive into a full week of discovery, science, and creativity.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a meteorologist, engineer, or simply loves learning about the world around them, On Cloud Nine Camp will inspire them to see the world above them in a whole new way.
