For The Birds Camp

❝ I've always been fascinated by birds. There's something magical about looking up and spotting a cardinal in the trees, watching a hawk circle overhead, or hearing an owl call at dusk. That's why I created For The Birds Camp — a STEM-approved adventure for young nature lovers who are curious about the feathered friends around them here in West Toronto.

This camp is all about discovery. Through games, projects, and exciting investigations, youth explore nature, contribute to authentic science research, and design creative strategies to protect the planet. Every camper receives their own complete set of STEM supplies to support hands-on learning all week long.

What makes this camp special is that campers dive into the fascinating world of birds — exploring feathers, flight, and the features that make birds unique. They use tools and technology to identify local species and investigate how environmental changes impact bird behavior.

We've packed this week with activities like learning birding tools, identifying birds, participating in bird counts, exploring pollution control, eggsperiments, discovering beneficial beaks, exploring flight, owl pellet dissection, and developing healthy habits. And because we know kids need variety, they also enjoy avian-inspired VR experiences that take them closer to the skies, arcade time, bird-themed arts 'n' crafts to stretch their creativity, and outdoor activities with friendly sports challenges.

We take a field trip right here in Toronto — to High Park to see birds in action, after a fun stop at the zoo and playground first. It's a unique, engaging, and educational experience that helps kids connect with nature, develop scientific thinking skills, and make a real impact — all while having a ton of fun!

This camp is designed for young nature lovers from The Junction, Roncesvalles, Bloor West Village, High Park, Junction Triangle, Kingsway, and across West Toronto. If your kid has ever looked up at the sky and wondered about the birds they see — this is the camp for them!
