A Bug's Life Camp

❝ I've always believed that the smallest creatures make the biggest impact on our planet. That's why I created A Bug's Life Camp — a hands-on, STEM-approved adventure for curious kids ages 9-13 right here in West Toronto.

This camp is all about discovery. Through games, projects, and exciting investigations, our young scientists explore nature, contribute to authentic science research, and design creative strategies to protect the planet. Every camper receives their own complete set of STEM supplies to make every project interactive and memorable.

What makes this camp truly special is that campers don't just learn about bugs — they become real citizen scientists. They go on local field expeditions, search for arthropods, and collect specimens. Then they post their discoveries to iNaturalist, joining a global community of researchers. Using real tools and technology, they learn how entomologists actually study the insect world.

We've packed this week with activities like observing like a scientist, engineering arthropods, building arthropod apartments, exploring pollination stations, mapping habitats, and so much more. And because we know kids need variety, they also enjoy bug-themed VR experiences that take them into the micro-world, arcade time (including Minecraft and other favorites), bug-inspired arts 'n' crafts, and outdoor activities with friendly sports challenges.

We take a field trip right here in Toronto — to High Park to conduct real field studies, plus a visit to the zoo and playground. It's the perfect mix of education and adventure, helping kids develop curiosity, science skills, and a love for the natural world — all while having a blast.

This camp is designed for kids from The Junction, Roncesvalles, Bloor West Village, High Park, Junction Triangle, Kingsway, and across West Toronto. If your kid is curious about nature and wants to discover the amazing world of insects, this is the camp for them!
